Samsung Unveils Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge

Along with the Gear 360, Samsung took to Mobile World Congress to reveal its latest flagship smartphones, the S7 and S7 Edge. Both ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, featuring an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (or Samsung’s Exynos chipset in some regions) with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, though both have microSD card slots. Both also use a 12-megapixel rear cameras, but they’ve opened up the aperture on those lenses to f/1.7 and increased the pixel size on the sensors, improving low-light performance. The Edge is the bigger of the two, with a 5.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, while the S7 sports a flat 5.1-inch panel. The hefty size also means the S7 Edge has a bigger battery, with a 3600mAh battery versus the S7’s 3,000mAh. Check out more details in the video overview below, and expect the handsets to launch March 11.
