In honor of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Ewing Athletics will be retroing the Ewing Eclipse and these kicks debuted on Patrick Ewing’s feet during the 1992 Summer Games. Ewing Athletics scored big when they retroed the Ewing 33 Hi a few years back, but this release marks the first return of the Hall of Fame center’s classic sneaker.

The Dream Team is arguably the best basketball squad ever assembled. With legends and Hall of Famers at almost every position, it’s crazy to think that Ewing was the only other player on that team besides Michael Jordan to have an official signature model with his name and number on it. Ewing rocked his kicks in the patriotic red, white, and blue on his way to Olympic gold.

These classics will be released with special packaging and a faux gold medal. The sneaker is slated to be released on July 22nd for $120. ALIFE will be hosting a special launching event of the Eclipse on July 20 from 7-10 PM at 158 Rivington Street. Rapper Fabolous and Patrick Ewing will be in attendance for a meet and greet.
