It seems inevitable now in retrospect: Nike has applied its groundbreaking Flyknit technology to one of its most beloved retro models, the Air Max 1. The knitted upper also takes on integrated Flywire cables while maintaining the design DNA of the original silhouette through fused overlays on the mudguard and Swoosh. And though the tooling appears unchanged at first blush, the outsole reveals the addition of a Max Air window.
