Tupac Biopic “All Eyez On Me” Finishes Filming It’s Last Scenes

Outside of casting, news about the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me has been minimal. After tons of setbacks and two director changes, 2DopeBoyz reports that Eyez officially wrapped filming earlier this week.

The Benny Boom-directed biopic based on Pac’s life – from his youth through his illustrious music career to his untimely death on the Vegas Strip in 1996 – filmed its final scene on location in Las Vegas. “We’re starting from before he was born,” Boom told Billboard in an interview. “His parents were Black Panthers. You see the struggles of his youth, his relationship with his mother, father figures that were in and out of his life, and what he developed into as a man from that. It humanizes him.”

The Morgan Creek-produced All Eyez On Me still doesn’t have a release date, but expect it sometime later this year. The film stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. (Tupac), Jamal Woolard (Biggie), Danai Gurira (Afeni Shakur), Kat Graham (Jada Pinkett), Lauren Cohan (Leila Steinberg), and Dominic L. Santana (Suge Knight).
