Telling the story of Michael Jackson’s transition from performing alongside his brothers as part of the Jackson 5 into the King of Pop, we get our first teaser of Spike Lee’s forthcoming documentary, Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall.

In addition to archival footage, pop culture impresarios like Pharrell Williams, The Weekend, Mark Ronson, John Legend, David Byrne, Questlove and Kobe Bryant all contribute their own memories of Jackson.

Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall premieres at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24 and premieres on Showtime on February 5.
