Students of Michael Jordan history will know immediately the inspiration for the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” — namely, the Bulls’ history making ’95 – ’96 season, in which the team amassed an astounding 72 and 10 record. Details on the shoe include a premium tumbled leather build, dressed in formal black with microfiber suede panels and a tumbled patent leather rand in matching black. There’s also a carbon fiber shank plate and clear outsole, and a tongue tag inscribed on the interior “72-10 QUALITY INSPIRED BY THE GREATEST SEASON LED BY THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER.” First scheduled to release on December 19, the launch date has been changed to December 12. They’ll be available through select Jordan retailers, as well as Nike.com through its “Draw” system.
