For the past two years, American sculptor Michael Murphy has partnered with Jordan Brand and Nike to create centerpiece works of art for their retail environments. Incorporating the Ohio native’s stylized, multi-dimensional approach in re-fashioning classic Jordan iconography, the pieces have been installed at the Trump Tower, as well as a store across from Madison Square Garden. Most recently, Murphy was commissioned to create a unique 3D sculpture at the Nike Harajuku store in Tokyo. Check out the amazing time-lapse video of its creation below, and view more of Murphy’s work over at his site.
