Drake rules 42 percent of the 50-position Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated March 7), as the hip-hop star has 21 concurrent songs on the tally — breaking his own record for the most simultaneously charting hits in the history of the chart. (The new chart will be refreshed on Billboard‘s websites on Thursday, Feb. 26.)
In the meantime, he’s been putting in 12-hour studio shifts on an all-new project: the cleverly titled The Free Weezy Album, which he plans to release for free in March. “I’m working on it every day, man,” he says. “I guarantee it’s going to be something dope. If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.”
Big Big Homie.
If you’re reading this, Drake’s done it again. According to Hits Daily Double, his surprise mixtape If Youre Reading This Its Too Late, will top the Billboard charts with an estimated 541,585 buys. Album or not, this marks Drizzy’s fourth consecutive number one. Views From The 6 coming soon.
UPDATE: Final tally according to Billboard, 535,000.
As simply put as possibly, here are all the relevant points I could dig up, laid out all neatly and whatnot. Oh, and this is Lil Wayne’s lawyer, which I find kind of hilarious; just the image of that white guy sitting down in the Young Money offices trying to explain to Weezy and Gudda Gudda why they’re getting ripped off on mechanical royalties makes me chuckle, although I should probably assume that Lil Wayne is actually far smarter than a lot of people (myself included) give him credit for. Anyway, onto the show…

Wayne returned to social media in the wee hours of the morning to announce The Free Weezy Album. “Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album. #FWA,” he tweeted.
