Apple Is Dropping $850 Million On A Solar Powered Headquarters

Apple‘s new “Spaceship Campus” headquarters will reportedly cost nearly $5 billion take up 2.8 million square feet. So it ain’t nothing for the company to stunt with $850 million devoted to solar energy.
Apple CEO Tim Cook says the company is building a brand new solar 1,300-acre solar farm in Monterey, Calif. The move marks a serious commitment to the environment and will provide significant savings to Apple over time. “We know at Apple that climate change is real,” Cook said at a Goldman Sach’s Technology and Internet conference. “The time for talk has passed and the time for action is now.”
