Fight Fans Sue Manny Pacquiao Over Shoulder Injury Non Disclosure

The suit was filed Tuesday in federal court in Las Vegas on behalf of two plaintiffs, identified as Staphane Vanel and Kami Rahbaran.

It alleges that the two were defrauded after paying to watch the fight, and seeks class action status on behalf of anyone who bought tickets, pay-per-view or bet on the fight.

The suit comes as Nevada boxing regulators are looking into possible disciplinary action against Pacquiao for failing to disclose the injury suffered in training for the fight. Pacquiao, who would go on to lose a unanimous decision, is expected to undergo surgery this week for a rotator cuff tear.

Pacquiao To Undergo Shoulder Surgery For Significant Tear

Only days following his loss to Floyd Mayweather in what was considered the biggest fight of this generation, news has come out that Manny Pacquiao will undergo right shoulder surgery for a slight tear in his rotator cuff. For those following the fight, it was reported that Manny went into the fight injured and was not granted anti-inflammatory medication to help alleviate some of the pain beforehand.

The official diagnosis by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache is that Pacman has a has a rotator cuff tear and he will be out between 9-12 months, depending on his rehab.

We are now less than a month away from the historic boxing match between unbeaten pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and the eight-division champ Manny Pacquiao. The hype surrounding the fight is already unprecedented but will surely reach a fever pitch in the coming weeks, and to kick things off HBO has released its official TV spot promoting the much-awaited showdown. The 30-second clip, which was reportedly filmed at a studio in Los Angeles on the evening of March 11, shows both fighters walking toward each other against the backdrop of the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, where the fight will held.
