Mark Wahlberg Is Making A Boston Marathon Movie

Scott Stuber (Ted), Dylan Clark (Planet of the Apes), Stephen Levinson (The Gambler), and 60 Minutes producer Michael Radutzky are also set to produce the film.
Wahlberg, a native of the city, is expected to star as Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, a source close to production tells Mashable.
The movie will be based on Davis’ first-hand account of the April 15 event, in which three people were killed and more than 250 injured.
Cult Classic “Friday” Will Hit Theatres On 4-20

In celebration of this milestone, the 1995 film will screen for one night only in nearly 400 theaters on Monday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. local time.
On April 14, the Friday soundtrack, which was the No. 1 album in the U.S. for two weeks in 1995 and eventually went double platinum, will also get the anniversary treatment and have a vinyl reissue.

Kerry Washington To Play Anita Hill In HBO Movie

Huge news for Kerry Washington! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress also known as Olivia Pope will play Anita Hill in a new HBO movie calledConfirmation. The movie will follow Clarence Thomas’s 1991 Supreme Court confirmation hearings, in which Hill accused Thomas of sexual harassment. Hill is currently a professor at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management.

Bodega Bamz Acting In A New Film “The Streets Owe Me”
Looks like Bodega Bamz is also taking the acting route. The Spanish Harlem emcee just shared this brief trailer for a new cult film he’s producing titled The Streets Owe Me. While details are scarce, it’s reported that Ohla, Cipha Sounds, Joell Ortiz are all starring in the new film.
