We are now less than a month away from the historic boxing match between unbeaten pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and the eight-division champ Manny Pacquiao. The hype surrounding the fight is already unprecedented but will surely reach a fever pitch in the coming weeks, and to kick things off HBO has released its official TV spot promoting the much-awaited showdown. The 30-second clip, which was reportedly filmed at a studio in Los Angeles on the evening of March 11, shows both fighters walking toward each other against the backdrop of the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, where the fight will held. The biggest fight in boxing history is just over a month away, and the man who made boxing a worldwide phenomenon, Muhammad Ali, has officially weighed in on who he wants to emerge from the battle, glove raised.
My dad is Team Pacquiao all the way! My dad really likes Manny. He’s a huge fan of his. He knows Manny’s a great fighter…but it’s more about what he does outside the ring. He’s such a charitable person.
That was Laila Ali divulging her dad’s preference in the May 2nd match-up to TMZ. It isn’t exactly Ali suggesting one fighter is better than the other, but he’s got solid reasoning for his preference, and that’s all we can really ask for, right?

While Roach isn’t going to get hung up on what others report, he indicates a close contact recently confirmed Floyd has struggled to deal with the intensity of sparring sessions, but not necessarily against Judah. Roach’s comments were posted by Carlos Boogs of Boxing Scene:
He knocked out a couple of girls (in sparring) or something like (that). The thing is, I got a report from one of my friends in Mexico—that one of his Mexican boys beat the s–t out of him two days in a row. So I really don’t care about stuff like that. I really don’t care what he’s up to, because I have to get my guy ready for my fight and that’s what I’m thinking about.
