Floyd Mayweather Jnr began his official training camp at his Las Vegas gym on Monday as he prepares to take on Manny Pacquiao in May.
The undefeated world welterweight champion posted several pictures to the social media site shots.com on Monday night and also uploaded a video to Instagram after his first session – which took place on the same day Pacquiao started training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym in Los Angeles.
Manny Pacquiao knows it’s almost impossible to win a war of words with Floyd Mayweather Jr., so he’s opting for a more subtle approach with his trash-talking.
Mayweather could be performing damage control because his image is under attack since people are beginning to believe he is dodging the fight. But regardless, the pressure continues to mount as people anticipate the news of the big fight.
I can’t tell if this is Mayweather doing image damage control or he is genuinely trying to make this fight happen. Regardless of what it is, Pacman and Arum got Mayweather backed into a corner. He is in a position where he has to try to prove himself to protect his image.
Let’s hope the fight happens.
