Bronx Teen Falls From Building And Dies Running From Police
A Bronx teenager who fell off the roof of a six-story apartment building on Thursday while fleeing police officers died of his injuries on Saturday at St. Barnabas Hospital, the police said.
Authorities said Hakeem Kuta, 17, was with a group of other teenagers who were smoking marijuana Thursday evening in the lobby of the apartment building at 2685 Valentine Avenue in the Bronx. A man who exited the building complained to four uniformed officers, who then entered the lobby. When Mr. Kuta and several others ran to the roof, two officers chased them.
All but Mr. Kuta and a 14-year-old were able to elude the police. With officers shouting, “please don’t move,” Mr. Kuta tried to step over a short wall at the edge of the building but stumbled, officials said. The 14-year-old grabbed for Mr. Kuta’s vest as he fell, officials said, but he was not able to hang on.

America is getting greener every day. Voter approved ballot initiatives to fully legalize marijuana passed last November in Alaska and Washington D.C. This week they are going into effect.

Following Snoop Dogg’s investments in entertainment website Reddit, and zero-fee stock trading platform Robinhood, the marijuana aficionado has decided to focus his efforts towards an industry in which he has a lot of expertise. The rapper is hoping to gather a fund of $25 million USD to finance cannabis-related startups, with weed delivery service Eaze being a potential recipient. As medical and recreational marijuana legalization continues, startups within the industry is ripe for investment, and the Long Beach rapper is hoping to reap some of the inevitable profit.
Future’s DJ, DJ Esco, Did 56 Days In A Dubia Prison
On January 13, Future‘s affable DJ Esco (real name: William Moore) returned to his mother’s home cooking after an unexpectedly long stay in the United Arab Emirates. He’d traveled there to perform with Future atthe 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, a swanky weekend also attended by Kim Kardashian, Prince Harry, and the Spice Girls. Future would later call his experience in Dubai “priceless” and something he would “never forget.”
Esco will also never forget his experience in Dubai, which began when he was arrested at the airport for marijuana possession. He ended up spending 56 long days in a prison where few others spoke English.
