Hot on the heels of Becoming Steve Jobs, the exhaustive book by Brent Schlender, which brought news that Apple CEO Tim Cook offered Jobs a piece of his liver, comes Steve Jobs: Man in the Machine, a documentary that premiered Saturday at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin.
Surprisingly, there hasn’t been a real documentary about Apple’s complicated co-founder before now. Given the disaster that was the 2013 Ashton Kutcher biopic Jobs, there hasn’t even been a real meaty movie on the man yet (if you don’t count the cult favorite 1997 TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley). The long-delayed Jobs film written by Aaron Sorkin and starring Michael Fassbender should hit theaters in October.
