Netflix Nabs Rights To Chris Tucker’s Stand Up Special!

Actor and comedian Chris Tucker will headline his first full-length stand-up comedy special, “Chris Tucker Live,” available exclusively this summer on Netflix.
Tucker’s stand-up comedy perf will be available to stream in all territories where Netflix is available, on Friday, July 10. The special showcases Tucker’s comedic chops, as he shares experiences spanning from his childhood to big-time Hollywood. The special was filmed at the historic Fox Theatre in Tucker’s hometown of Atlanta.
“Chris Tucker is a true global movie star and a one-of-a-kind talent whose remarkable energy, delivery and original style make him one of the funniest comedians of our time,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer. “We cannot wait to share his distinct and hilarious voice with our members across the globe.”
Cult Classic “Friday” Will Hit Theatres On 4-20

In celebration of this milestone, the 1995 film will screen for one night only in nearly 400 theaters on Monday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. local time.
On April 14, the Friday soundtrack, which was the No. 1 album in the U.S. for two weeks in 1995 and eventually went double platinum, will also get the anniversary treatment and have a vinyl reissue.
CBS Orders “Rush Hour” Pilot

CBS has officially given Rush Hour a pilot order, along with orders for comedies Joe Time and Greg Garcia’s Super Clyde, which was initially ordered to pilot back in 2013.
