Baltimore Orioles Beat The Chicago White Sox In An Empty Stadium – Post Riots

On the street side of the towering iron fence, maybe a hundred yards from the Orioles’ bullpen inside the gates, stood Orioles fan Les Bowman with his younger brother.

It was about two hours before the start of the game and Bowman had no chance of getting inside Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Wednesday afternoon. That was no problem for Bowman, who drove nearly three hours from the coast of Virginia that morning to help with the clean-up effort in parts of Baltimore that sorely needed it.

This was a different sort of gameday, unprecedented in American professional sports history, and Bowman just wanted to witness as much of it as possible. “The way I see it,” Bowman said, “I have the best seat in the house.”

Adidas Partners With Spotify To Release First-Of-Its-Kind Running App

While running may not be the most enjoyable activity for some, one thing’s for sure: adding music into the equation makes racking up minutes on the treadmill or miles on the track better. German sportswear giant adidas, however, isn’t totally satisfied with runners just popping in their headphones and hitting shuffle. As a result, adidas and Spotify have teamed up to launch adidas go, and bring those looking to stay fit  a unique and intuitive way to improve their running experience.

An app unlike any other available, the joint platform uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to instantly match a runner’s favorite music to their workout. To make this happen, adidas go calculates the user’s stride rate to automatically identify and play tracks with matching beats per minute from Spotify’s extensive music library.

Furthermore, the newly unveiled app also allows runners to effortlessly expand their running soundtrack to explore new music on the go as the app intuitively streams Spotify tracks that match the runner’s interests based on their preferred music taste. Once a workout is complete, users can then review and save their distance, time, pace and adidas miCoach Runscore as well as the new music they’ve experienced to add to their collection.

Adidas go is available for iOS only, for iPhone 4S or later.
