50 Cent’s SMS Audio Partners With Reebok and Marvel Comics

Can’t knock the hustle. 50 Cent continues to make waves in the business world and Fortune is reporting that the entrepreneur has inked partnership deals with Marvel Comics and Reebok to sell co-branded SMS headphones. The new deal adds to SMS’s already impressive partner list that includes Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Lucasfilm’s Star Wars and Intel.
Princeton students to petition Big Sean’s performance

Princeton University students are petitioning to have rapper Big Sean dropped as the main act of an upcoming concert paid for by the school’s student government.
Students Duncan Hosie and Rebecca Basaldua told The Daily Princetonian, the university’s student newspaper, that they researched Big Sean’s lyrics after hearing him repeat a misogynistic phrase in a promotional video for the May 3 spring Lawnparties show.
The students then created the petition, which alleges Big Sean’s songs promote misogyny and “rape culture.” The petition has more than 500 signatures, Hosie told The Princetonian, and asks the school’s Undergraduate Student Government to rescind its offer to the Grammy-nominated rapper.

Kanye West To Executive Produce A Soundtrack For New TV Series

Kanye West is diving into a new venture as he is being reported as the executive producer for the new soundtrack for the upcoming WGN America series Underground. According to reports from Deadline and a casting call for the television show posted online, Underground “follows a group of slaves who plan a daring escape from a Georgia plantation to cross 600 miles to freedom, aided along the way by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad, as they evade those tasked with bringing them back, dead or alive.” The show will featureChristopher Meloni, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge and Jessica De Gouw. The series is on pace for a 2016 premiere.
