Jay Z and Beyonce Releasing Joint Album On Tidal

Last fall, rumors surfaced that Beyoncé and Jay Z were working on a joint album. And it appears that a 2015 release is inevitable.

According to DJ Skee, the highly-anticipated project is nearing completion and will be released exclusively via TIDAL, Jay Z’s streaming service.

This would not be surprising since TIDAL has already produced exclusives from hip-hop’s superstar couple. Jay Z premiered his “Glory” video earlier this month via TIDAL and Beyoncé debuted the piano ballad “Die With You” dedicated to her husband.

Chris Brown Settled LA Basketball Lawsuit

Chris Brown can finally move on from the basketball brawl lawsuit that arose from an alleged fight at 24-Hour Fitness in LA, last July. The singer and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, managed to settle with the alleged victim for an unbelievably small amount, offering up no more than four figures.

Malcolm Ausbon filed suit against the singer in 2014, with claims that Chris and three of his friends gave Ausbon a beat down in the middle of a basketball game. He then went on to threaten that if Breezy didn’t cough up $250k, he would then be taking his complaints to the cops.

More Than 200 Shots Fired At A Nevada Prison Over A 5 Year Period

A recent series of lawsuits over gun violence in a Nevada state prison just outside Las Vegas have turned the spotlight on the sheer number of triggers being pulled at the facility. Somehow, guns have been fired more than 200 times over a recent five-year period, according to records uncovered by Nevada State Senator Richard S. “Tick” Segerblom.

High Desert State Prison made the news earlier this month when a lawsuit was filed in state court on April 7. The suit, filed by the family of slain inmate Carlos Manuel Perez Jr., accused guards at the facility of creating a “gladiator-like” combat situation in which two cuffed prisoners—Perez and Andre Jay Arevalo—were allowed to fight before a guard opened fire on the men with a shotgun, killing Perez and wounding Arevalo.

More troubling than the isolated incident is the fact that a lot of shootings happen at High Desert, which is the largest facility in the state system. According to numbers given by Segerblom to the AP, there were 215 shots fired at the prison from 2006 to 2011—compared with only 124 in the state’s 21 other prisons over the same period.
