Eminem Annotates His Own Lyrics On RapGenius Today

Well, because Eminem annotated some of his own stuff. Em-in-fucking-em. Normally you have to take the annotations with a grain of salt because any crazy ass Stan can log on and type some shit, but when it comes from the horse’s mouth, you know it’s legit. Rarely though does an artist like Em take the time to annotate their lyrics. I’ve always been an Em fan, but I’ve never loved him the way some do. After reading all of his annotations today though, my respect and admiration have grown ten fold. He really is an incredible musician, but don’t take my word for it, check out the highlights below.

Chris Rock Pulled Over By The Cops For 3rd Time In Less Than 7 Weeks

Stopped by the cops again wish me luck.

A post shared by Chris Rock (@chrisrock) on

Last year, Rock joked about cop stops while filming “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee” with Jerry Seinfeld. The two were pulled over by a Ramsey, New Jersey, police officer while on their way to Rock’s neighborhood of Alpine. Seinfeld was driving an orange 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400S at the time.

“It’d be such a better episode if he pulled me to the side and beats the s**t out of me, don’t you think?” Rock joked. “Now here’s the crazy thing: If you weren’t here, I’d be scared. I’m famous, still black. Right now, I’m looking for my license right now.”

After the stop, he added, laughing: “I was worried the whole time. I’m still worried.”

Transcript to Jay-Z’s NYU Appearance

What’s the most difficult part about balancing being an artist yourself, staying true to your artistry, and also being a producer that needs to stay conscious about record sales? JAY Z: When you’re in the studio, you’re just making music from your heart. For me, I’ve always been that way. I was an artist, I was executive producer on my first album so, I’ve always had to manage both. I couldn’t get a record deal. It wasn’t by choice — I couldn’t get a record deal, so I had to figure it out. We started by selling records out of the trunks of our cars. We went to some stores in Brooklyn and some other places and then we spread from there. I guess the short answer is: When you’re in the studio you’re an artist, and when you’re outside of that you’ve got to figure out how to get your music heard.

Will Tidal offer a student discount for subscriptions like Spotify does in the near future? JAY Z: Oh. Okay, well I’m going to let Vania answer that one. SCHLOGEL: Yes. When we look at the data, the data says that students don’t really care about paying for streaming. I actually don’t believe that, necessarily — I think that this demographic here, sitting in the room, cares very deeply about music. I think in fact that a lot of you have a deeper emotional connection with music than any data says. And so the short answer for that is, absolutely yes, because we want you all to be Team Tidal and to be a part of this.

Former N.W.A. Manager Feels Some Type Of Way About “Straight Outta Compton”

I haven’t seen anything yet. I am waiting until the movie comes out, and I will be there in the front row with my lawyer and looking to make sure it is an accurate movie. They didn’t reach out to me at all to give any kind of advice, insight, or background, so it’s hard for me to believe that they got it right…

I didn’t expect them to [consult with me], because that’s the way that they are. I certainly thought that Universal, Warner Bros,or one of their companies would insist on it. I am really shocked that, even though they didn’t reach out, somebody didn’t reach out.
