John Singleton No Longer Involved In The Tupac Biopic

Speaking with XXL Magazine late last week, Singleton hinted at some turmoil in the production process and stated that his involvement in the Tupac biopic was in-fact on hold for the time being. On Tuesday, representatives for Morgan Creek, the production company behind the movie, confirmed that Singleton has indeed stepped down as the film’s director. According to The Wrap, a source close to the project stated that “There are major creative differences” between Singleton and Morgan Creek. “Honestly, Morgan Creek can make a sub-par Tupac movie and move on. If John Singleton makes a bad Tupac movie? There’s no more Singleton.

Video: A Young Kanye West rapping to his Mother

Throughout his career Kanye has shown his admiration and love for his mom in many ways. He named his creative agency after her; closed his 2008 album 808s and Heartbreaks with a deeply profound statement addressed to her (“Goodbye my friend, I will never love again” Kanye said on “Coldest Winter”); described his recent single “Only One,” as his mother singing to daughter North West through him; and, of course, “Hey Mama.”

Now, video of Kanye and his mom rapping together in a kitchen has surfaced, and it’s sure to leave you in tears. Taken from an MTV special detailing the making of Late Registration, the clip features the two talking about a rap Kanye came up with, followed by the two singing “Hey Mama” together. It’s simultaneously beautiful and sad: another glimpse into a relationship that still means so much to Kanye.

The Official Mayweather v. Pacquiao HBO Commercial Is Here

We are now less than a month away from the historic boxing match between unbeaten pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and the eight-division champ Manny Pacquiao. The hype surrounding the fight is already unprecedented but will surely reach a fever pitch in the coming weeks, and to kick things off HBO has released its official TV spot promoting the much-awaited showdown. The 30-second clip, which was reportedly filmed at a studio in Los Angeles on the evening of March 11, shows both fighters walking toward each other against the backdrop of the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, where the fight will held. Nike Celebrates 30 Years of the Nike Dunk

The Nike Dunk is easily one of the most iconic models of sneaker history, tracing its roots all the way back to 1985, when it was first introduced. To celebrate its 30th anniversary,Nike has released a detailed outline of its story, from inception to the legend it has become today.

At the time, basketball had become a cultural phenomenon and sneakers were enjoying tons of off-court popularity, reaching as far as the fashion world. The first iteration was sketched by Peter Moore and was called the “College Color High”. It was an artistic mash-up of different silhouettes, taking cues from the Air Force 1, which had released three years prior. The traction design outsole closely resembles the one found on the Air Jordan 1, which launched just months before, and several other elements were taken from the Nike Terminator. Three decades later, the Nike Dunk remains as a classic in the sneaker community, recognized for its performance and street style. Starwars Goes Digital Before The Latest Installment In The Series Is Released

Walt Disney Studios, along with Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox has announced that the entire Star Wars saga will be made digitally available for the first time on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Xbox Video, PlayStation Store, Verizon Fios and VUDU. “We’re thrilled that fans will be able to enjoy the Star Wars saga on their digital devices wherever they go,” said Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “These films broke new ground in technology, design, sound, and visual effects, and we’ve created some very special bonus material which delves into the saga’s rich history.” All six films, from The Phantom Menace all the way to Return of the Jedi will release in Digital HD starting this Friday, April 10.
