“Tidal X:1020” Show To Star Jay Z, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Prince, and More

Jay Z isn’t wasting any time celebrating Tidal’s feat. Yesterday, he took to social media to announcethat the streaming service has finally reached one million subscribers. “‘Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists’ Tidal is platinum,” he tweeted, and in the same 140 characters, he hinted at a celebration taking place on October 20.

The concert titled “TIDAL X: 1020” will happen at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The show’s lineup includes Jay Z, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Prince, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, T.I., Damian Marley, Thomas Rhett and more. According to ET Online, the proceeds from this star-studded show will “benefit nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the development and sustainability of just societies, this inaugural event’s philanthropic focus.”

While Tidal subscribers will be able to purchase tickets starting today at 12 PM, the general public will be able to buy tickets this Friday, October 2. As with previous exclusives, the streaming service will have a live showing of the event for everyone on Tidal. Viewers will also be able to donate to the cause while watching the live stream.
