Youngest African American Female To Earn Pilot’s License At 17

#MoriahGraham, 17, has made history by becoming the youngest African American female to obtain her pilot’s license while still in high school, reports the #Dover Post.

Graham, a cadet with the Air Force#JROTC, started training in spring of her junior year. She obtained her license in May after 14 months of training.
The 2015 #PolytechHighSchool graduate will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in#DaytonaBeach, the alma mater of#PatriceClarke—the first black woman to fly a major commercial airline.
“Finding out I was the first in #Delawarewas pretty cool. It put a little bit of pressure on me. But I don’t fly to impress other people and I didn’t fly to make this historic accomplishment. I fly because I love flying and I have a passion for it,” Graham said.
