The Carolina Panthers donated $100,000 to the families of the nine people killed in the shooting at a Charleston church on Wednesday.
South Carolina politician Bakari Sellers posted a photo of the letter Panthers owner Jerry Richardson sent to the Emanuel Hope Fund, which was established by the city to help the families of the victims pay for their funerals.
Richardson said he was donated $10,000 to each victim’s family to help cover the funeral costs, plus an additional $10,000 so the church can build a memorial.
“Our hearts are one with those who grieve the loss of these individuals,” Richardson wrote.
